LeAnn, Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Rihanna to sing for cancer - 2008-08-20
LeAnn Rimes has joined forces with fellow artists Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Rihanna and Fergie to sing on a single for cancer research. The track will be released on September 2 via US iTunes. All the funds raises will go to Stand Up To Cancer, a campaign to help fight cancer. Also participating in the single are Miley Cyrus, Ashanti, Carrie Underwood, Natasha Bedingfield, Mary J. Blige, Ciara, Keyshia Cole, Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge and Leona Lewis. Furthermore, there will be a TV special the Stand Up To Cancer, which will be airing on September 5, simultaneously on US networks ABC, NBC and CBS.
LeAnn duets with the King - 2008-08-11
LeAnn Rimes and fellow Country singer Carrie Underwood are some of the artists that will appear in "Elvis Presley Christmas Duets." Rimes sings with the King “Here Comes Santa Claus" while Underwood croons “I'll be Home for Christmas." The tunes are being recorded in RCA Studio B in Nashville, which is the same studio where Elvis recorded his original 1971 Christmas sessions. Tracks from the album can be enjoyed on August 14 during the 2008 Elvis Week in Memphis.
LeAnn’s sweet childhood memories - 2008-07-02
LeAnn Rimes will put her childhood mind in action to design her own version of My Little Pony, the classic toy for girls created in the 1980s. The country singer is amongst the stars and artists involved in this drive to raise funds for the Give Kids The World charity as part of a celebration of the toy’s 25th anniversary. The celebrities and artists were given blank, 18-inch versions of the usually 4-inch-tall ponies to decorate, Hasbro representative Dan Benkwitt explained the press.
